Textile cluster to be established at Dubbaka in Telangana

Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy said that the Telangana government intends to establish a textile cluster in Dubbaka that will be modelled after Sircilla in order to give the town’s weavers a means of subsistence.

Weavers from Dubbaka were brought by MP Reddy to Saramally Textile Park in Rajanna Sircilla district on the orders of IT Minister KT Rama Rao to give them a glimpse of the cutting-edge technologies being utilised at the park.

As per reports, the weavers went through the textile park to understand how their Sircilla counterparts adopted new technologies to produce better designs and market them.

The MP said Dubbaka weavers would be imparted training to understand modern technologies which were being used in Sircilla, Pochampally and Warangal.
