Tata group company to manage Cial’s five-star hotel in Cochin

The five-star hotel being built by Cochin International Airport Ltd (Cial) close to the airport will be managed by Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), a subsidiary of the Tata group and the owner of the upscale hotel brand Taj.

The hotel, which will be opened in the middle of 2024 and be branded as “TajCial,” would receive aRs 100 crore investment from IHCL.

Since a few years ago, the airport operator has been looking for the appropriate operator for its hotel, and we now know that the contract’s formalities have been completed.

In accordance with the agreement, IHCL and Cial will split a portion of the gross revenue earned by their joint operations.

Cial constructed the hotel near the airport entrance as part of its land utilisation programme and to provide passengers with hospitality services at part with international standards.
