Tamilnadu floats consultancy tender for new Chennai airport

The Parandur airport will be built within two years, and the Tamil Nadu state government has called for bids to find a consultant to help with the selection process. About 70 kilometres separate the city from the new airport.

Following the purchase of almost 4,500 acres of land for the project, the tender has been released. The state government has designated TIDCO to choose a consultant and build the airport.

The chosen consultant will be required to undertake studies on market demand, air traffic forecast, environmental impact, and physical constraints as well as create a master plan for the region.
