Tamil Nadu govt to receive Madurai Metro Rail Project DPR on 15 July

The Tamil Nadu government will get a full report from the Madurai Metro Rail Project on its plan and stage of implementation on July 15, according to the project’s director, Arjunan, who made the announcement on Tuesday.

“Ninety percent of the full project report is finished. On July 15, we will submit the comprehensive report, according to Arjunan, project director for the Madurai Metro Rail.

Arjunan provided specific project information, stating that “8,500 crore has been set up for the implementation of the metro rail project for a distance of 31 kilometres between Tirumangalam and Madurai Othakkadi. Officials are currently examining the feasibility of commencing the project.”

On the status of the project, he said, “We have already completed the soil survey and local traffic survey. We are planning an underground station with three entrances to Madurai railway station.”
