Sunshield Chemicals Ltd has approved a proposal to expand the capacity of an existing antioxidant facility, as well as debottleneck the EO/Theic unit and automate the process.
The current capacity is 2000 MTPA, with an average utilisation of 1800 MTPA. The proposed capacity increase of 2000-2400 MTPA is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2023.
Internal accruals and loans would be used to fund the enlargement project, which will cost Rs. 25 crores.
Due to capacity restrictions, the company is unable to fulfil increased demand from existing customers, necessitating capacity expansion and debottlenecking of the EO/Theic unit, as well as automation.
