Stalin asks Japanese company to increase size of its facility in Oragadam near Chennai

Chief Minister M K Stalin asked the Japanese company Komatsu to increase the size of its facility in Oragadam and invited Komatsu’s officials to the Global Investors Meeting (GIM) that will be held in Tamil Nadu in January of 2019.

Stalin visited the Komatsu plant in Osaka, Japan, as part of a nine-day business trip and observed the production procedures. The Oragadam facility, which was opened by Stalin personally in 2007, was later expanded after he spoke with corporate leaders. Stalin was informed by company personnel that studies would be conducted before growth plans were made.

Komatsu produces machinery for the heavy, forestry, mining, and construction industries.

The company executives led by Takayuki Furukoshi and Go Kamada explained to Stalin, through a power-point presentation, about the functioning of the plant and their equipment meeting international standards. Finally, Stalin invited them for GIM.
