SJVN secures 100 MW wind power project

Through an electronic reverse auction, SJVN Limited has been awarded the full stated capacity

of a 100 MW wind power project at a price of 2.90 per unit on a build-own-operate basis.

The Company took part in the tariff-based competitive bidding process for Solar Energy

Corporation of India Limited’s Phase XIII plan to establish 1,200 MW of interstate transmission

system-connected wind projects in India. SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary

of the Company, would develop the project anyplace in India. This project’s development is

expected to cost 700 crore. The project is anticipated to generate 262 MU in the first year of

commissioning and a total of approximately 6,574 MU over a 25-year timeframe.

The project will be commissioned in a period of 24 months from the date of signing of Power Sale

Agreement (PSA). The PSA shall be executed after issuance of Letter of Intent by SECI.

The commissioning of this project is expected to reduce 3,22,150 tonnes of carbon emission and

would contribute in Government of India’s mission to make our nation carbon neutral by 2070.
