SJVN has received in-principle clearance from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy of the Government of India to create a 400MW solar park in District Kinnaur under Mode-8 of the Solar Park Scheme.

These projects will help SJVN meet its ambitious shared vision of 5000 MW by 2023, 25000 MW by 2030, and 50000 MW by 2040, while also contributing to the Government of India’s RE capacity expansion objective of 500 GW by 2030.

Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam, better known as SJVN, is an Indian public sector undertaking involved in hydroelectric power generation and transmission.

It was incorporated in 1988 as Nathpa Jhakri Power Corporation, a joint venture between Government of India and Government of Himachal Pradesh.
