SECI floats tender for 30 MW floating solar project in Damodar Valley

A tender for the construction of 30 MW of grid-connected floating solar power projects on the reservoirs of the Damodar Valley Corporation thermal power facilities at Koderma, Mejia, and Raghunathpur has been released by the state-run Solar Energy Corporation of India.

A single stage, two-envelope bidding method with an e-reverse auction will be used for the SECI-managed tender. Bids must be submitted by August 1, 2022, as the deadline. On July 1, there will be a pre-bid meeting.

Mejia, West Bengal, would get a 14 MW unit, Raghunathpur, West Bengal, a 10 MW unit, and Koderma, Jharkhand, will get a 6 MW solar plant.

Eligibility conditions in the tender are as per 30 MW (AC) cumulative capacity and the bidders are required to quote accordingly for the complete cumulative capacity of 30 MW (AC). The total capacity of 30 MW will be awarded to a single bidder selected after e-reverse auction (e-RA).
