Quad eyes India as manufacturing hub for green hydrogen

India is being considered by the Quad platform as a centre for global green hydrogen production.

The initiative is seen as a move to create a clean energy industry independent of China, which currently dominates a sizable portion of the supply chains for solar and electric vehicles (EVs).

The US, Australia, India, and Japan are the four nations that make up the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad).

The Quad Energy Ministers intend to use it to accelerate initiatives to spread clean hydrogen, reduce methane emissions, and create a 10-year strategy for the development of clean energy supply chains.
