Operation begins at renewable energy project in Vijayanagara, Karnataka

In the Vijayanagara district of Karnataka, Kudligi’s renewable energy (RE) project by Renew Sandur Green Energy (RSGEPL) has been put into operation. The RE project, which includes a 9.9 MW wind farm and a 33 MW solar farm, will lessen reliance on fossil fuels and improve the environment.

A joint equity-based agreement was struck by Renew Energy Global PLC, the parent company of Renew Green Energy Solutions (ReNew), and Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores (SMIORE) to build a power plant that uses solar and wind energy to produce sustainable electricity.

ReNew company and SMIORE are committed to a sustainable future, and this project is expected to contribute significantly to the region’s RE capacity.

Gurugram-based ReNew has a renewable asset base of 13.7 GW, including projects under development and in the pipeline.
