NTPC commercialises an extra 42.5 MW of electricity output capacity

At the Ramagundam floating solar project in Telangana, state-run power firm NTPC has commercialised an extra 42.5 MW of electricity output capacity.

The Ramagundam floating solar project was previously commissioned at 17.5 MW (Part-I) and 20 MW (Part-II).

The Ramagundam project now has a total commercially operational power generating capacity of 80 MW, thanks to the addition of 42.5 MW. The project has a capacity of 100 MW.

“Consequent upon successful commissioning, third part capacity of 42.5 MW of 100 MW Ramagundam Floating Solar PV Project at Ramagundam, Telangana, is declared on commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hrs. of March 24, 2022,” NTPC said in a BSE filing.
