NMDC chairman Sumit Deb said that the compnay has ambitions to make investments in the renewable energy industry.
According to Deb, the business is looking for Telangana areas for the installation of solar capacity.
Deb responded in the yes when asked if NMDC is eager to engage in the renewable energy sector.
“We do indeed have plans. Where there is a sponge iron mill, we are exploring in Telangana “Without going into specifics on the investment, he added.
Deb stated that NMDC may also build the plant on the land that is available with its non-operational sponge iron facility.
The 100-ton-per-day capacity sponge iron facility of NMDC is situated near Paloncha, Telangana.
