Nine bidders for Rajahmundry airport’s new terminal contract

The Rajahmundry Airport (RJA) in Andhra Pradesh has received bids from nine companies for the construction of its new terminal building since the Airports Authority of India (AAI) solicited technical bids in late May.

In January 2023, plans for a new terminal and related infrastructure in Rajahmundry were authorised, with an estimated price tag of Rs 347.15 crore. On its brand-new apron, it will permit the parallel parking of up to 5 aircraft.

In March 2023, AAI issued a call for bids for the civil construction work at the terminal, with an estimated cost of Rs. 203.76 crore and a 730-day (2-year) completion window.
