NHAI awarded 6,306 km of highways projects in FY22

According to an official statement released, the National Highways Authority of India awarded projects totaling 6,306 kilometres and built 4,325 kilometres of highways in the previous fiscal year.

According to the announcement, NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) capital investment for highway infrastructure construction hit an all-time high of approximately Rs 1,68,770 crore in FY22.

“During FY22, the NHAI granted projects for a total length of 6,306 km, the largest length awarded by the authority in the prior three years,” according to the statement.

The NHAI is the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’ primary road-building agency (MoRTH).
