New cement and concrete research development facility comes up at Navi Mumbai

At Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai, the Adani Group-owned ACC and Ambuja Cement have opened a cement and concrete research and development facility.

According to a release, the newly constructed R&D facility will assist Ambuja and ACC in advancing research, enhancing cost optimisation, and developing sustainable solutions to define the cement industry’s future.

The addition of the R&D facility was prompted by a focus on new product development, productivity enhancement, energy consumption reduction, and environmental effect.

“Our new R&D facility is our reinforcement towards our collective commitment to pushing boundaries, driving innovation, and addressing industry challenges,” said Ajay Kapur, CEO, Cement Business
