Natural gas distribution networks to come up in Assam and Tripura

Assam Gas Company Limited and Oil India Limited signed a joint venture private limited company agreement with the intention of laying, building and operating natural gas distribution networks in portions of Assam and Tripura.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, was present at the ceremony, which took place in the Janata Bhawan in Guwahati.

CM Sarma via Twitter mentioned that this joint venture will constitute an initial investment of Rs 600 crore and further said that this agreement is “a good synergy to promote green fuel in North Eastern states”.

The JVA was signed by Managing Director, AGCL & ED (PLS) OIL in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Dr HimantaBiswa, Hon’ble Minister, GoA, ShBimal Borah, ShJayantaMalla, Dr RanjitRath, CMD OIL, Sh Bolin Chetia, Chairman-AGCL, Sh BJ Phukan, MD-NRL &sr officials of GoA, OIL & AGCL.
