Modi lays foundation stone for Karnataka section of 1,270 Km long Surat-Chennai Expressway

At Kodekal in Karnataka’s Yadgir District, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for two brand-new segments of the six-lane Surat–Chennai motorway.

The Surat – Chennai Expressway, which will be 1,270 km long, would be India’s second-longest motorway after the Delhi – Mumbai Expressway, which is 1,350 km long.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor Thawar Chand Gehlo, and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai lay the cornerstone for the Surat-Chennai Expressway (19 January).

In Kodekal, Yadgir District, during his trip to Karnataka, Prime Minister Modi lay the cornerstone for two greenfield portions of this six-lane motorway.
