MG Motor India established a new business, MG Charge, to construct electric car charging infrastructure, with the goal of installing 1,000 chargers in residential areas across India in 1,000 days.
MG Motor India stated in a statement that as part of the project, the business would install 1,000 AC fast, type 2 chargers, a more generally used form of charger for electric cars that will support most of the major current and future EVs.
The chargers will also be SIM-enabled and backed by a sharable charger management system, according to the company.
