MEIL-HCC bags Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train BKC Station’s work

Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. and Hindustan Construction Company JV won the contract to build Bandra Kurla Complex Station of the 508.17-kilometer Mumbai to Ahmedabad High Speed Rail after submitting the lowest bid (MAHSR Bullet Train).

Cut and cover construction will be used to construct this terminus station of the 1.03 km long Package C1 between chainage -0.255 and 0.775. Six 425m-long platforms will be located within the 467m-long station space to handle 16-coach bullet trains.

In July 2022, India’s National National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL) issued a new invitation for bids for the civil construction of BKC Station, with an undetermined budget and a 1638 day (4.48 year) target completion date. In November, technical bids were opened, revealing 4 bidders.
