Meghmani Organics completes Phase I of Titanium Dioxide plant in Dahej, Gujarat

Meghmani Organics Limited announced the completion of Phase 1 of its Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) plant in Dahej, Gujarat, with an installed capacity of 16,500 metric tonnes per year (MTPA).

Meghmani paid 132 crore for Kilburn Chemicals Limited in December 2021 as an upfront payment. Following that, the company incurred total capex of Rs.275 crore, including acquisition costs, and completed the first phase in January 2023.

Because of its brightness and strong UV light absorbing capabilities, TiO2 is one of the most widely used white pigments.

It is used to add whiteness and opacity to a variety of products, including paints, coatings, plastics, papers, inks, foods, medicines, and toothpastes.
