Maharashtra Cabinet Sub-committee approve projects worth Rs 40,000 crore

Maharashtra Cabinet Sub-committee chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, approved projects worth Rs 40,000 crore in the state that are expected to generate 1.20 lakh job opportunities.

The projects approved will come up in Pune, Chhatrapati, Sambhajinagar, Nandurbar, Ahmednagar, Raigad and Navi Mumbai.

The fifth meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee of Industries department was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at Sahyadri Guest House.

“We have cleared projects in Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Nandurbar, Ahmednagar, Raigad and Navi Mumbai areas. They include the first electric vehicle and battery project [by Gogoro India] worth Rs12,482 crore at Pune and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, while the proposed Gems and Jewellery Park at Mahape in Navi Mumbai too has been granted the status of mega project,” Shinde told reporters after the fifth meeting of the sub committee at the Sahyadri state guest house.
