L&T bags water treatment projects worth about Rs 2,500 crore

Larsen & Toubro announced that the Tumakuru Industrial Township, a part of the Chennai

Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, has placed orders for its water and effluent treatment business

totaling over 2,500 crore (CBIC).

The Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, according to the corporation, has placed

repeat orders with it. The Asian Development Bank is providing funding for the project.

38 km of road will be designed and built as well as storm water drains, cross drainage structures,

potable and recycled water supply systems, sewerage, and an effluent collecting network as part

of this project.

The scope of work will also include a power distribution system including street lighting, 7 MLD

water treatment plant, 3 MLD sewage treatment plant, 2.5 MLD common effluent treatment plant,

service reservoirs and an Integrated Command & Control Centre building including operation &

maintenance of the complete system for four years.
