L&T and H2C team up to develop floating green ammonia projects

In order to develop floating green hydrogen and ammonia projects for industrial-scale uses, the Norwegian business H2Carrier (H2c) and the Indian corporation Larsen & Toubro (L&T) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The P2XFloater hull will be constructed by H2C in Asian yards. According to the advertisement, the P2XFloater is the first industrial-scale floating production unit in the world for the manufacture of green ammonia.

In collaboration with Norwegian marine and process engineering firms, H2C created the P2XFloater concept.

The idea behind it is to maximise production capacity by extending the hull of an existing very large gas carrier (VLGC) and adding to its design.
