Linde commences construction of its new air separation plant at Ludhiana

In Ludhiana, Punjab, Linde India Ltd. officially started work on the mechanical construction of its planned Air Separation unit.

In addition to delegates from InvestPunjab, important industrial and healthcare customers, Moloy Banerjee, Head of South Asia and ASEAN, Abhijit Banerjee, Managing Director of Linde India Limited, and other Linde executives, the ceremony was held at the Hi-Tech Cycle Valley location of the site.

The other Linde plant in northern India is in Selaqui, Uttarakhand; this one will be the second. The start-up of this 250 TPD new ASU is anticipated for late 2023. The increased supply will enable Linde to increase its presence in northern India. Additionally, this facility would considerably increase Punjab’s ability to produce liquid medical oxygen.

“This new ASU is an important investment for Linde,” said Moloy Banerjee, Head – RSE, Linde. “By building additional capacity, we will cater to both industrial and healthcare market in the region.”
