Leading motor company shows interest in green technology project in Jharkhand

Tata Motors has expressed interest in developing new green technology projects in Jharkhand, including the production of electric and vehicles driven by hydrogen engines.

Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, and senior officials attended a meeting with senior representatives from Tata Motors, Tata Steel, and Tata Cummins to discuss the potential for investment in the expansion of a new green technology project at Jamshedpur.

Tata Motors and Cummins Inc. teamed up to offer solutions for hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles in November of last year.

According to the agreement, the two parties would work together to design and develop low- and zero-emission propulsion technology options for commercial vehicles in India, such as fuel cells, internal combustion engines, and battery-powered electric vehicle systems.
