KIADB’s New Industrial Area Development Project

The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board is planning to initiate a new project for developing an industrial area in Vemagal 2nd phase industrial area, located in Kolar, Karnataka. The project aims to develop an industrial area covering 124.151 acres of land across the Harjenahalli, Gudigondanahalli, Malliyappanahalli, and Kurugal villages of the Vemagal Hobli. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 488.2 million, and the construction activities are planned to begin in December 2023 and end by December 2026. As of March 2023, the project is awaiting environmental clearance before proceeding with the construction activities. The project is expected to enhance the economic growth and employment opportunities in the region by providing a conducive environment for industrial development.
