Itochu Corporation will begin providing solutions using the remote degradation diagnosis services for car lithium-ion batteries created by Hitachi High-Tech Corporation.
A service to remotely diagnose the state of deterioration (State of health, henceforth SOH) in lithium-ion batteries in thousands of electric vehicles has been put to the test by ITOCHU and Hitachi High-Tech (EVs).
Itochu has expertise managing fleets of vehicles, while Hitachi High-Tech has created technologies to monitor battery degeneration remotely. SOH by battery pack and battery cell may now be measured with accuracy thanks to this test.
Both companies shown that it is feasible to efficiently operate and monitor a number of EVs. This was accomplished by the collection and analysis of operational and battery data from currently in use EVs.
