Gujarat’s Surendranagar to get 3 MW series turbines to generate 69.3 MW wind power

The creation of a 69.3 MW wind power project for Juniper Green Energy Private Limited will use the second order of the 3 MW product series, according to Suzlon Group, a provider of renewable energy solutions.

22 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a 3.15 MW rating will be installed by Suzlon. The project will be completed in 2024 and is situated in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district.

The 3.15 MW S144-140m, the company’s largest turbine from the 3 MW series, has received its first significant order.

In accordance with the agreement, Suzlon will carry out the project, including erection and commissioning, and provide the wind turbines (equipment supply).

Suzlon will also provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning.

A project of this size can provide electricity to ~57 thousand households and curb ~2.25 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, the company said in its statement.
