German motion plastics company to establish new facility at Bengaluru

Igus India has leased a new 84,000 square foot building on four acres in the Budigere neighbourhood of Bengaluru. The facility’s initial phase of construction, which Igus has already invested over Rs 15 crore in, is anticipated to be completed in the upcoming months.

Igus India presently ranks sixth among the 38 subsidiaries, and the company’s expansion plans there have acquired additional traction as a result of the market’s growth having doubled over the previous two years. According to a press release, Igus India’s revenues increased from Rs 118 crore in 2020–21 (during the epidemic) to Rs 199 crore in 2021–22 and Rs 284 crore in 2022–23.

Igus India forecasts to sustain and further accelerate growth with the additional investments to strengthen its operations.

Igus India’s growth plans are coupled with a continued focus on innovation. The company launched 190 new products in 2023 for the Indian market and several digital services and solutions under its global program, “Enjoyneering”, advocating fun with innovation in Engineering.

“Enjoyneering” aims to make the job of engineer’s fun, helping them unleash their engineering power with innovation for better productivity and success at work.
