The NTPC power plant in Ramagundam, Telangana, received a steam turbine rehabilitation and modernization project from GE Power India (GEPIL) and its affiliates in cooperation with NGSL.
The team was able to surpass the contractually agreed-upon output and performance targets with this project, the first of NTPC’s energy-efficient steam turbines, and set a new standard for best-in-class performance for the heat rate for these units.
The team is now preparing for the installation and commissioning of unit 2 after the success of units 1 and 3, according to a statement from GEPIL.
