Dilip Buildcon emerges lowest bidder for Surat Metro Rail Project Phase – I

Dilip Buildcon’s RBL-DBL Joint Venture (JV) was declared the lowest bidder for the Surat Metro Rail Project Phase – I, Corridor-2 (Package 1), which includes the construction of a 10.559 km elevated viaduct and 11 stations (excluding E&M, architectural finishing, and roofing) from Bheshan Dead End (Ch. -949.63m) to Majura Gate Station (Ch. 9090m) including Viaduct Ramp to Depot (Pkg-Cs-5).

Package CS5 has an estimated cost of Rs 1061 crore and a timeline of 26 months to complete. In January 2022, the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) issued a tender for the construction of this package, which is expected to cost Rs. 870 crore.

The bidders who had bid for this package were revealed in the technical bids which were opened in May this year. The bidders include RBL – DBL JV, DRA – RVNL JV, Ashoka Buildcon, KEC – YFC JV, Larsen & Toubro and GR Infraprojects among which RBL-DBL JV emerged as the lowest bidder with a bid of Rs 1061 crore.
