Construction of India’s largest battery cell Gigafactory commences

The Cell Gigafactory, the largest EV cell production facility in the country, was only recently put into operation by Ola Electric.

By the end of this year, the Cell factory is expected to be operational, with a starting capacity of 5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) annually.

This enormous facility will be essential for creating the high-quality battery cells required to power electric automobiles.

The Cell Gigafactory’s construction supports the Indian government’s push for electric mobility and EV industry independence.

The Cell Gigafactory will boost the regional economy and generate a number of job possibilities.

According to estimates, the amenity will produce approximately 10,000 direct and indirect jobs, significantly advancing the area.
