Cabinet gives nod for Metro extension from HUDA city centre to Cyber city

According to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, the Union Cabinet has approved metro connectivity from Gurugram’s HUDA City Centre to Cyber City. There will be 27 stations along the route, which will be across a distance of 28.50 kilometres.

According to Goyal, the project will end up costing approximately Rs 5,450 crore in total.

The entire project will be elevated, and access to the depot will be provided by a spur (side line) from Basai village.

The project will be carried out by Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC) and is expected to be finished four years after it has been approved.

HMRTC will be set up as a 50:50 special purpose vehicle (SPV) of the Central and Haryana governments after a sanction order is issued.
