BTL EPC secures orders worth Rs 446 crore from BHEL

The Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited‘s (5 x 800 MW) super critical thermal power plant at Yadadri in Nalgonda district, Telangana, will require an ash handling system that will be installed by BTL EPC Ltd, the engineering division of the Kolkata-based Shrachi Group, on a job worth Rs 446 crore.

The system consists of a vacuum and pressure conveying system, a system for handling bottom ash, a system for handling economizer ash, a system for removing coarse ash, and a system for evacuating dry fly ash, as well as a system for disposing of high concentration slurry (HCSD).

Of the company’s recent order success, Ravi Todi, MD, BTL EPC Ltd, said, “We registered turnover of more than Rs 330 crore in FY 2021-22 and holding a healthy order book position of more than Rs 1,800 crore (inclusive of GST). To name a few, coal handling plant at 2X660 MW Ennore SEZ super critical thermal power plant at Chennai value of Rs 156 crore; Urea handling & bagging plant at Talcher Fertilizer, Odisha, value of Rs 143 crore; and chemical plant equipment of Rs 25 crore. Recently, we also achieved closure & commissioning of major projects like urea handling at HURL Sindri & Barauni valued at Rs 157 crore, and baggage handling plant valued at Rs 53 crore for KRIBHCO.”
