In order to address the needs of the Indian market and mutually agreed-upon export markets, Navratna defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd. and US-based Triton Electric Vehicle have inked an MoU for the production of hydrogen fuel cells using the latter’s technology.
By leveraging the central government’s push for the adoption of clean energy fuels for applications in transport and energy storage, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to tap the demand for clean energy solutions for various applications, including e-mobility, according to a statement from the company with its headquarters in Bengaluru.
TEV has set up its R&D centre and manufacturing facility in India. It has recently forayed into Hydrogen-run vehicles and started the journey of manufacturing Hydrogen-run two-wheelers, three-wheelers and buses, according to the statement.
