Automated battery production facility in Pune to come up at cost of Rs 100 crore

Sunlit Power, a manufacturer of batteries, announced plans to build an automated production facility in Pune by investing Rs 100 crore over the next two years.

The company, which produces batteries under the ARENQ brand, also announced that it will increase its presence in Kerala, Chennai, Delhi, and Bangalore during the current fiscal year.

The company operates a non-automated production facility in Nandurbar, Maharashtra, with a 100 MW capacity. Additionally, it already has a branch in Thiruvananthapuram for sales and services.

The project would have a capacity of 200 MW per month when it is finished, which is anticipated to be in October of this year, according to Sunlit Power.

Automating its manufacturing units is just one of the many plans, the company said and added that it is eyeing business association with a multinational corporation and a major two-wheeler manufacturer.
