Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with the founders of seven ethanol manufacturing companies who applied to set up their facilities in the state under the Assam Ethanol Production Promotion Policy, 2021.
Assam has attracted 16 ethanol projects worth Rs 3,290 crore since the State Ethanol Policy was announced in August 2021, as a result of a consortium of OMCs issued bids for long-term ethanol purchase.
In Assam, 16 ethanol projects worth Rs 3,290 crore were approved.
The promoters informed the Chief Minister of their recent developments and issues during a meeting held in the Chief Minister’s office in Guwahati’s Janata Bhawan.
