Afcons bags bidding for Ahmedabad railway station redevelopment

The winning offer for the Ahmedabad station reconstruction project was submitted by Afcons Infrastructure.

They provided a quote for Rs 5,355 crore, which is 78% more expensive than the anticipated cost of Rs 3,000 crore provided by the Indian Railways.

The two bidders, NCC and Larsen & Toubro, offered even higher costs of Rs. 5,694 crore and Rs. 5,770 crore, respectively. Officials were astonished by the fact that all bidders cited substantially higher prices than the railways’ estimate, despite the fact that the project will be entirely paid by the railways.

The proposal aspires to incorporate regional cultural monuments like the Brick Minar and JhultaMinar while creating a modern complex with business, residential, and retail sections.
