Adani Total Gas, a joint venture between Adani Group and Total S.A, plans to undertake a new piped natural gas (PNG) distribution project in Alivalam, Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. The project aims to distribute 70,000 Standard Cubic Metres per Day (SCMD) of PNG and 60,000 SCMD of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). As of March 2023, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project. The PNG distribution network will provide a reliable and cost-effective energy source to households, industries, and commercial establishments in the region. The project will involve the laying of pipelines, installation of gas meters, and construction of CNG stations.
