ACME Group enters wind power sector with 50 MW project in Gujarat

With a 50 MW project in Gujarat, ACME Group is making its entry into the wind energy industry. Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between the group and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

Currently, ACME runs solar energy facilities in twelve states and provides electricity to thirteen state discoms.

The first 50 MW grid-connected wind power project won by ACME Group. In light of the company’s plans to offer solar-wind hybrid and RE RTC power, this is a significant milestone.

According to ACME Group Chief Operating Officer Sandeep Kashyap, this is in keeping with the company’s goal of becoming a significant RE RTC player.

A tariff-based competitive bidding process for the purchase of electricity from grid-connected wind power projects resulted in the company being awarded the project.

The project is expected to be commissioned within twenty-four months from the signing of the PPA.
