Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Bharat Forge and Saarloha Advanced Materials have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the production and development of aerospace grade steel alloys. According to a joint press release, the MoU, which was signed on the sidelines of the ongoing Aero India event in Bengaluru, also emphasises the development, certification, prove out, and application of new material for use in the construction of aircraft, engines, and accessories. M S Venkatesh, executive director of the foundry and forge division of HAL, Guru Biswal, chief executive officer of the aerospace division of Bharat Forge, and R K Goyal, director of Saarloha, all signed the MoU.
