To connect CMBT and Puzhuthivakkam, the 12.431 km long Package C5-ECV-02 viaduct by L&amp;T will bridge the Adyar River.<\/p>\n<p>Adyar River is approximately 100 metres wide at this location (see on Google Maps), and Line-5&#8217;s bridge has 6 piers: 4 inside the river and 1 on each bank.<\/p>\n<p>L&amp;T was awarded C5-ECV-02\u2019s Rs. 1656 crore contract in November 2021 with a 36 month deadline.<\/p>\n<p>This section\u2019s viaduct and 12 sections are located right in the middle of Line-5.
