(CMRL) released technical bids on Monday, 6 companies submitted offers for 2 different contracts to commission the electrification system for lines 3 and 5 of the Chennai Metro (OHE, RSS, ASS, &amp; SCADA).<\/p>\n<p>Both of these lines, which are now under construction as part of <a href=\"https:\/\/chennaimetrorail.org\/\">Chennai Metro<\/a>&#8216;s 118.9 km Phase 2 project, would connect Madhavaram &#8211; SIPCOT (Line-3, 45.813 km) and Madhavaram &#8211; Sholinganallur (Line-5, 47 km) with a combination of elevated and underground stations.<\/p>\n<p>The 25 km Madhavaram Milk Colony &#8211; Sholinganallur stretch of Line-3 and the 23 km Madhavaram Milk Colony &#8211; CMBT section of Line-5, as well as its shared Madhavaram Depot, are covered under these two electrification system contracts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chennaimetrorail.org\/\">CMRL<\/a> had invited tenders for both contracts in October 2021 with an unknown estimate and 2350 day (6.44 year) completion deadlines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Download PDF Report &nbsp; After Chennai Metro Rail Ltd.
