TN CM Stalin launches advanced manufacturing centres at Rs 392 crore

At the convocation of Industries 4.0 held at TIDEL park at Taramani in Chennai, Chief Minister M K Stalin officially opened two cutting-edge manufacturing facilities to support and boost the growth of the manufacturing industry in the State.

At a cost of Rs 251 crore, Siemens and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) developed the first facility, known as the Tamil Nadu Advanced Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (TAMCOE), inside TIDEL park.

TAMCOE plans to conduct research & development and manufacture vital parts for aircraft engines, the healthcare industry, and the automobile industry.

Following the center’s inauguration, Stalin remarked that “this (TAMCOE) is the first such centre of excellence in the country.”
