L&T Construction arm to establish 112.5 MW solar power plant in West Bengal

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm has been awarded a turnkey EPC contract to build a 112.5-megawatt (MW) solar power plant in West Bengal.

“The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business’ renewables arm has received a turnkey EPC order to establish a 112.5 MW solar power plant in the south-western part of West Bengal,” the construction company said in a statement.

This package was awarded through an international competitive bidding process by the State Undertaking, which is implementing this project with funding from a foreign development bank.

Furthermore, the company has been awarded a contract to develop power distribution infrastructure in the central-western region of Uttar Pradesh under the Revamped Reforms-Linked Distribution Scheme (RDSS).
