One of the top renewable energy businesses in the world, the prestigious Greenko group, has given a contract to Larsen & Toubro’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business for the construction of an off-stream pumped storage project in Madhya Pradesh.
Under a strict 30-month deadline, a Consortium led by Larsen & Toubro will carry out the project’s civil and hydromechanical activities. When finished, the project will rank among India’s biggest clean energy initiatives.
The Gandhisagar Pumped Storage Project (PSP), which is envisioned to create an upper reservoir close to Khemla block village (approximately 75 km from Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh), will serve as the lower reservoir and is expected to meet a pumped storage capacity of 10,080 MWHr.
