IndiGo airlines has opened its second maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Kempegowda International Airport.
The second-largest repair facility at the Bengaluru Airport, the 13,000 square metres hangar is constructed on five acres of land. With regard to the facility, Bengaluru International Airport Ltd. and IndiGo have agreed to a 20-year agreement.
SC Gupta, the engineering director of IndiGo, officially opened the MRO facility. The facility has space for up to two narrow body aircraft at once.
An engine QEC shop warehouse and engineering offices will also be included in the facility’s support infrastructure, which will be used for all repair and maintenance work.
