HomiHydrogen to invest USD 50 million in India

HomiHydrogen announced it would invest $50 million in a 1.5 GW/year electrolyzer production facility in Pune.

In order to build a manufacturing facility for Indian electrolysers, homiHydrogen is a joint venture between h2e Power Systems in Pune, Greenstat Hydrogen India, and BlueBasic AMA Engineering.

The JV company said that it has set out on its path to a greener future with the goal of establishing a 1.5 GW per year electrolyser production facility in India. Both the domestic and international markets will gain from this.

The initiative will generate about 300 new green jobs with a $50 million budget. The enterprise will produce all four varieties of electrolysers in India, according to the official press release: alkaline (AEM, PEM, and SOE).

According to the company, homiHydrogen will begin production in 2023. It will produce a 100% ‘Made in India product.
